It was reported Yesterday that a cell phone actually killed a man dead in South Korea when the battery in his LG cell phone exploded. He was 33 years old. The guy works in a rock quarry apparently, and he was found dead with his cell phone beside him. One of the guys he works with said that he was bleeding from the nose and the phone had a melted battery in his shirt pocket. After examination - it was found that the battery explosion had punctured his heart and lungs, and even his ribs and spine were broken. Although there was n't a link - the same article said that a man in China was killed the same way earlier this year.
This really has to freak some people out...remember that Dell laptop exploding batteries not too long ago? It would seem to me that they have to find a way to make these cell phone batteries safer than they currently are or something.
