You've heard of car-jackings, but what about cell jacking? This man stole her phone and held it for ransom!

I read this crazy story today about this guy from Hollywood (Florida) that saw this lady talking on the street on her cell, and ran up on her and snatched it out of her hands. He didn't bother with her purse, just took the cell and ran. The lady decides to call him back (on her phone) - and he answers and says he'll give it back for $1,000. She says she only has $500 and agrees to meet him at a 7-eleven. She shows up with police and they arrest the guy with the cell in his front pants pocket. What I can't understand is why she wouldn't press charges on the guy. At least he had all kinds of warrants for his arrest - so they took him anyway. Seems like the same thing was happenning a few years back with iPod "snatchings" in several large cities. I hope we don't start seeing more of this.
