Everyone wants to put ringtones on their phone, and one of the most popular things to do is to assign a real mp3 song as a ringtone. If you want to assign an mp3 as ringtone for your PPC 6700 power pc cell phone - here's how to get it done:

1. Sync the phone with your pc
2. Click EXPLORE
3. select MY WINDOWS MOBILE BASED DIVICE
4. select APLICATION DATA
5. select the SOUNDS folder .......click and drag the song you want into that "sounds folder" and your all done. This is so much easier than a lot of other cell phones. If you edit your songs down to about 30 seconds with an mp3 editor like Cool Edit Pro before putting them in the sounds folder, it will save room for more ring tones.

Also you can only use songs saved in the SOUNDS folder for ringtones. Not for voicemail notifications or other assigned sound events.
