to start with you need a well lit subject ( good light on the subject means the clearer your image will be) for best results shoot outside or turn on extra lights when inside. different lights impact the color in your images differently. experiment with White Balance to rectify this. Some cams come with built in flash that can really add clarity to it, even when shooting outside. If your camera doesn’t have a flash you should not shoot into bright lights (you will end up with subjects that are silhouetted)also... don't be afraid to get very close...this will help get a bright pic.
